Some of these more low key recording, that all came from the my session in 2006, remind me of a certain type of film. It’s a genre, although I’m not sure it has a name. I am speaking of movies by Cassavetes, Fellini, Morrissey, Burnett. These films revel in the human condition just for the sake of it. There is a lot of power in this type of storytelling. Part of this project is an attempt to harness some of that power and to figure out how catharsis works within this type of craft.
