I think one of the reasons I like these is because they tell the story without actually telling the story. You know who this lady is by just a few paragraph description of what she wants. Maybe it’s the wanting that actually tells us who someone is…
This one is also from a few years ago. Listening to the ones recorded then and thinking about how they contrast with the ones I am recording now is an interesting topic in and of itself. These older ones are more mundane, and the reading is more subtle, more straight up. I wonder if what I was looking for in them then was different then what I’m trying to find in them now.
A friend of mine passed away a year ago yesterday. He worked at 911 media, teaching classes, organizing stuff.
He was an asset to his community, and we miss him.

One of my goals for the year is to work on some audio documentaries. Below I’ll post some of the new things I have been working on, in their raw form. I had this idea many years ago, when I first began to study film and I started recording some of the audio. I haven’t figured out what to do with the video portion yet, so I decided that it would be good to make this an audio work.
Still working out the specifics. Let me know what you think.
